| Mixed Indoor Bowls |

Sutton Indoor Bowling Club has a comprehensive indoor bowls programme that facilitates men and lady bowlers playing together in umbrellas, ballots and friendly matches, and also against each other in internal competitions. Mixed ballots usually take place on Mondays at 12 noon with Mixed umbrellas on Friday afternoons at 12 noon and 2pm. Ballots and umbrellas are excellent activities for members to get to know each other better. There is a very active programme of mixed friendly matches played both at home and away against other indoor bowls clubs and associations mostly situated in London and the Home Counties. In addition, there are games further afield including an eight-rink match against Dolphin Bowling Club in Poole. This fixture usually takes place in November – one year travelling to Dorset by coach, the next welcoming Dolphin members to Sutton. These fixtures take place during the week and at weekends, and are usually followed by a meal. Last but not least are challenge matches between Men’s and Ladies’ Captains’ teams which, naturally, are played in a friendly but highly competitive spirit. |
