All new bowlers are given free coaching when they want to join our club.
Please phone 0208 642 8136 to book your free coaching session with one of our coaches who will be happy to introduce you to bowling.
We’ll also give you a tour of the facilities.

Meet our Coaching Team
Pauline is our Head Coach and has achieved Coach Bowls Level 1 coaching qualification and has been bowling for over 30 years. Pauline coaches indoor bowling and can also support members who wish to convert to outdoor bowling. Pauline has experience and expertise in coaching members who need bowling aids such as bowling arms and balancing aids. We also have a Bradshaw Buggy indoor bowling wheelchair and Pauline can offer valuable advice of how to get the most out of your bowling techniques if you require to use the Bradshaw.
Stuart has achieved Coach Bowls Level 1 coaching qualification and has be bowling for over 12 years. Stuart has been coaching for the last 8 years. Stuart can coach both bowlers who wish to play indoor and outdoor. Stuart is responsible for coaching and mentoring some of our members that are supported by MENCAP.
Dennis has achieved Coach Bowls Level 1 coaching qualification and has been bowling for over 12 years and coaching for 8 years. Dennis can coach both bowlers who wish to play indoor and outdoor and can offer confident bowlers advice and techniques on how to advance and improve their game.
Penny has achieved Coach Bowls Level 1 coaching qualification and has been bowling for over 23 years and coaching for 12 years Penny can coach both bowlers who wish to play indoor and outdoor.
All our coaches have been DBS checked and this is updated every 3 years.

Taster session
Please call Jayne on 0208 642 8136 to arrange a taster session and book a time and date for you to meet one of our coaches who will be happy to introduce you to bowling.
You will need to bring a long a pair flat shoes.
We’ll also give you a tour of the facilities.
Stay after for a drink at the bar and/or meal or snack in the restaurant.
So come on down learn about the game and meet lots of new friendly faces.
Coaching for beginners
All new bowlers are given free coaching when they want to join our club.
Qualified coaches will deliver a planned course of sessions to enable people to learn the game and the skills needed to enjoy bowling in a friendly, relaxed way.
Please phone the club to make an appointment to have a tour and to be signed up for coaching. Remember, it is free and arranged at times agreed by the coach and the new bowler. When coaching is completed, members will meet the mentors who will explain all the different types of bowling available at the club. There is something for everyone, whatever their level of expertise.
