On Sunday 9th August the Sutton Ladies team played in the National Ladies Top Ten last 16 and after a nail biting finish won against a strong team from Blackheath & Greenwich BC.

The Top Ten consists of Singles, Pairs, Triples and Fours matches and the Sutton team members were Maureen Vandrau, Janice Sharp, Rita Fraser, Gail Aspeling, Carol McGrail, Pat Bourne, Di Double, Julia Cheeseman, Lisa Bedward, Sharmishta Patel, Teresa Orriss and Margaret Smith.

This victorious team will now play in the National Bowls England finals at Leamington with the first match being in the quarter final on Friday 28th August against Cleethorpes BC.
