Sutton Hosts Walkers Cup

Sutton Bowling club in surrey is delighted to announce that it has been selected by Bowls England to host the regional final of the Walker Cup. One of the most prestigious competitions in the English Lawn Bowls calender on Saturday 17th and Sunday 18th May 2025.

Often likened to hosting an FA cup semi-final in football, the Walker Cup is a major highlight of the national women’s bowls season with this event being contested by Surrey, Sussex, Kent, Isle of Wight and Hampshire. Being choosen to stage this elite-level event is both a great honour and a responsibility, reflecting the exceptional quality of Sutton’s facilities, the superb condition of its bowling green and the dedication of its organising committee.

The two-day event is expected to draw some of the best female bowlers in England. Last year Surrey were the winners of the Walker Cup, with ladies from Sutton bowling club playing in the team.
